GTA 6 trailer 2 revealed a lot about Jason, the male protagonist of the game, while the seventy screenshots for GTA 6, revealed new characters and new locations on the GTA 6 map.

Now, the fans are really busy analyzing the trailer 2 and the seventy screenshots they have in hand, but some of them are still worried about a further delay in release. Recently, there were rumors about a Remastered GTA 4 that is supposed to be launching by the end of this year. According to the user ‘GTA 6 Countdown’ on ‘X’, “The long-awaited GTA 4 remaster is in development and may launch later this year on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, according to insider Tez2.”

GTA 4 has always been one of the most popular games in the GTA Series and its success can be owed to its captivating storyline. GTA 4 Remaster is highly appreciated by the fans, but this also creates a fear of GTA 6 release delay in their minds. Now, in a recent development, Take-Two CEO, Strauss Zelnick has confirmed that May 26, 2026, is the final release date for GTA 6 with no more delays expected. GTA 6 Countdown has posted on ‘X’, “Historically, when we set a specific date, we’ve been very good about reaching it.”

So, the company is sure about dropping GTA 6 on May 26, 2026, but what about earlier commitments for the fall 2025 release of GTA 6 that were confirmed by Take-Two. Take-Two also described the delay of 6 months as an “opportunity with a small amount of incremental time” to make sure they achieve the creative vision with no limitations. Strauss Zelnick has himself called GTA 6 a complex game, but its complexity is the one thing that makes it a fascinating game. The fans seem to have mixed reactions to this commitment by Take-Two, as one of them on ‘X’ says “Genuinely can’t see this date moving it has significance and they have basically started the marketing already we eating in May 2026”, and on the other hand another user on X says “Let Rockstar cook— But they have posted definitive dates in the past and still delayed the game. Since its inevitable this game will be our GTA for the next 10+ years, might as well have it be a gold standard”.
