GTA 6 Development May Have Delayed RDR2 PS5 Upgrade, But Release Still Possible
GTA 6 release now seems to be on track, and pre orders for the game have already gone live on June 25. Rockstar Games has delighted the fans with new 63 screenshots, and a new look at the stunning Vice City. GTA 6 is now releasing on November 19, 2026, but the delay has somehow cost the fans. Based on some new leaks from a known insider, NateTheHate2, GTA 6 release in November has forced Rockstar Games to postpone the release of RDR2 PS5 port. GTA 6 is a catastrophe, and no publisher wants to come close to GTA 6 release date, as it has the power to overshadow any game that releases near it.
RDR2 PS5 Port Delayed Because of GTA 6 Release in November- Leaks
These fresh leaks have appeared in a popular chat forum xcancel.com, where a user ‘Tom’ has asked on the forum “I am starting to think it will never exist, we are 5 months away from GTA 6, such an update would have already been released if it were actually planned.” To this NatetheHate2 has replied by saying “Or plans changed once GTA6 maintained its release for Nov. The game can sit in a finished state & release whenever Rockstar needs/wants. If GTA were delayed, RDR2 could have been used to soften the blow. With no delay… they can hold RDR2 now.” The leaker reveals that GTA 6 release as of now is on track for November and with no further delay in its release, Rockstar Games would have held back Red Dead Redemption 2 PS5 port release. But, if at all there was a chance that GTA 6 was getting delayed, then Rockstar Games would have released RDR2 Next-gen upgrade this year in order to keep the fans happy.
GTA 6 Release on Track is Good News for the Fans
GTA 6 release being on track is good news for the fans, but some of them are really looking forward to RDR2 PS5 port. Most fans believe that RDR2 is a magnificent game and it deserves to run at 60fps on a PS5 or PS5 Pro, but Rockstar Games has not yet revealed anything on the upcoming PS5 port for RDR2. Instead, last year, the fans received a Next-gen upgrade for the game Red Dead Redemption, and it turned out to be really disappointing for some of the fans. RDR2 next-gen upgrade would bring a new PS5 port and enhanced graphics and visuals for the game. RDR2 takes you on a wild journey, where you get to explore a wild realistic world, and enhanced graphics and visuals have a major role to play in making the gaming immersive. Playing the game at 60fps on a PS5 or PS5 Pro console would provide lag free gaming experience while keeping your focus intact on exploring the realistic world of the game.
However, right now, nothing is confirmed on the upcoming PS5 port for RDR2. GTA 6 is releasing in November 2026, and there is a possibility that may be after the release of the game, Rockstar Games would focus on getting the port ready for the fans.
